Montclair History Center Talk at The Judy Weston Garden

Before the railroad, Watchung Avenue marked the divide between Speertown’s Dutch farms and Cranetown’s English farms. Everything changed in the late 1800s when rail access to New York City transformed the landscape—bringing new neighborhoods, business districts, and the foundation of modern Montclair.

Join us for a fascinating talk, in partnership with the Montclair History Center, as we explore how the railroad reshaped Watchung Park and the surrounding community!
